15,000 VISITORS

Dear Friends,


Well, I (or my blog) have reached a milestone of sorts.  As of this moment, I  have had exactly 15,000 visitors to  my blog!!!  Can I hear a  big "HOORAY"?  LOL.

Thanks Bob, I thoroughly enjoyed your reports on IAS. I was stationed there 69-70. I was on Crete in 2002 but didn't get by the base as I thought it was still open.

Can't believe I missed a golden opportunity to revisit IAS. That place left a very special place in my heart, one that I reminisce about all the time.

I would love to meet other Silent Warriors.

Dear Cary, I'm glad you have enjoyed reading my posts about Iraklion Air Station. We actually had a little reunion here on Crete last year (2010) for anyone who had been stationed at the old base, regardless of when or what career field they was in. We had a great time. We visited some other villages on the island and ate some GREAT Cretan food!
